(I also tried one of those URL proxies,but it wouldn't load the video.)

I have the same problem! I got it to work ONCE, and that was it.....Please someone post if they figure it out. I missed my YNR on Friday and it's killing me....

It works for us in the US, yes. It doesn't necessarily work well, always, but it works. I expect it's the same for the other network sites as well. Episodes are available online a few hours after they've aired here. I think they don't want to make the available worldwide since that might limit their profits from selling the broadcast rights internationally - especially when the broadcasts in other countries come after the episodes have gone online. Of course, there are other ways to get such episodes digitally...

This looks really cool, but why is CBS showing the original STAR TREK when it aired on NBC in the 1960s?

Ah, didn't realize this was in regards to episodes of classic Trek. I was talking about general policies for cbs.com, thinking of new shows in particular. I guess they want to save their bandwidth for their own market.

well this is another PERFECT EXAMPLE why the (more than 2 porches in the driveway executives) suits can't figure out how to profit by using the internet...

yes, lets limit the access to the USA... OH WAIT, that would make it so much more easier for someone in the USA to SHARE the video with someone outside the USA... and multiply that by a factor of... oh say a million... and THAT would be a million eyes not focused on CBS's website or advertising....

NOW if the suits were to not restrict access and under-estimate the internet... they would have MILLIONS of people's eyes on CBSs website looking at their advertising while watching the shows... OH WAIT, youtube is doing that successfully... why not just duplicate the successful structure of youtube without the UPLOAD factor and incorporate advertising banners...
