BK's new omelet sandwich has more calories than a whopper.

Naturally, the "health police" are having a fit. "Healthy" items in fast food restaurants never seem to sell well, though. It seems to me that if someone wants to eat healthy, then they probably shouldn't go to Burger King in the first place! That's my two cents.

I say, "Bring on the grease!" It helps the sandwich slide down my throat. :)

I don't eat eggs, so I won't be trying that. However, I have enjoyed a Hardee's "Monster Thickburger" a couple of times. As for the "health police," I respectfully invite them to mind their own damned business. :)

The only disgusting part in the one pictured is that it has mayonnaise on it, but I get them to leave it off mine.

You health nut, by dropping the Mayo you take out about 1/3 of the calories and fat.

I think it would be great if a restaurant put out an extra-calorie menu. You know, just to stick it to the "health police." On that menu: a burger with bacon and a fried egg, like they have at Red Robin, and Australia. I get mine with extra mayo.

I love those fried egg burgers at Red Robin! The extra mayo sounds good.

I'm also a huge (literally! :)) fan of the fried-egg burger at Red Robin's. Unfortunately, the service is so horrificly bad at the local restaurant that we've had to stop going. :(

That King is the creepiest ad thing to come along since Duracell's "Putterman Family" campaign.

The funniest thing is that's almost exactly what the early 80s Burger King looked like... only not plastic.

Seriously? My local Red Robin is one of the few restaurants anywhere that almost never gets my order wrong, and gets everything out quickly and efficiently. Sometimes I don't even have to order, one of the waiters remembers what I get.

Tracey and I had lunch today in a little downtown Charlottesville restaurant called "The Hardware Store". I ordered the "Hardware Store Burger". A quarter pound of beef, a fried egg and fried onions on a sesame seed roll and a side of mayonnaise. I substituted bacon for the fried onions and had myself a true taste treat! Part of the charm of the restaurant is the "Toolbox of condiments" they give you with your burger. It's a wooden toolbox like this:
Image
containing ketchup, heinz-57, worcesteshire sauce, tobasco sauce, a-1 steak sauce, soy sauce, yellow and grey mustard and white vinegar! Very cool!

AnyWAN coming to town for a visit gets treated (unless a bunch'a ya show up at once, I ain't no Rockafeller)!
