When I was a bit younger, my friends and I would drive around in one of our cars for hours at a time. While driving about there was always a CD in the deck and, more often than we would have admitted in the day, we would be singing along to the songs. I'm assuming this is a fairly common experience (at least in the parts of the country where you need to drive around to get anywhere).

So my question is this: What were your favorite driving around singing albums? Not just listening, I'm talking albums where everybody knew the words and couldn't help but join in.

For me and mine, Weezer (1994, sometimes called the blue album). From "My Name is Jonas" to "In The Garage" to "Buddy Holly". Everbody knew the words and whether they wanted to or not, everybody was singing along in short order.

Bannings: Banned!?! Hey...
Nena's 99 Luftballons was my all-time favorite cruising album. Lots of memories attached to that one. Van Halen's 1984 was another good one. Mostly, though, it was home made compilations... Prince, New Wave, and Punk. Odd mix, but damn we had fun!

And... it was a tape deck (no, not 8-track! Though Dad's van *did* have one...), not a CD player....

Ditto for me Dan; CD players for cars were around, but only the rich kids had them.

Styx – The Grand Illation

Everyone would sing along to ‘I’m Sailing Away’

This would be about the time it came out so - tape deck.

Meat Loaf's Bat out of Hell and AC/DC's Back in Black. Great for a carload of people, or just for that special girl.

Ahh, misspent youth.

Bat Out of Hell I can understand, but Back in Black? That must be a very special girl.

Tried Green Day's "American Idiot" in the car last night. Not quite up to universal sing-a-long status, but I think it may be building up to it. It really is a great album from beginning to end.
