Superman, WW, and J'onn alone could pretty much mop the floor with the entire MU hero lineup. I'd like to vote Avengers, but I don't see how any lineup (especially one without Thor!) can beat the JLA.

Sentry's about Superman level, and Ares is a god. That goes a long way.

Exactly. This is one Avengers line up I do not feel bad about voting against.

Sentry could make it more of a fight, but what are the chances he'll actually show up and do something? Too unreliable. I like the Mighty line-up (most of them), but they're toast here.

it's tough. On the one hand, i would say JLA all the way.

But I think the Sentry may be more powerful than Superman. tough to tell because they keep chaning Superman. Maybe if DC kept consistent powers/histories for two seconds, I'd be able to tell. I would say the Sentry IS more powerful than the Superman Morrison was writing though, Probably much more so.

Ares, I don't reall know his deal. Probably enough to take out 2 of 3 of Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and Martian Manhunter. But probably not all 3.

I think it would be closer than it looks at first glance.

I would think though the JLA would pull this out.

Wonder Woman is supposed to be MORE powerful than Hercules, smarter than Athena, faster than Hermes, and more beautiful than Ares' wife, Aphrodite.

Wonder Woman would hand Ares' @$$ to him.

Ares is the god of war. and a maniac. 'Nuff said.


But I'll say more Just cause she is more powerful than DC's sorry excuse for gods, doesn't mean she is more powerful than Marvel's Hercules who is not the same Hercules as Thor is not the same as the thor of the norse myths. they are different animals altogether.

If the Avengers team was being led by Cap, maybe. This line-up gets beat by the JLA though.

But they went and killed the best leader they ever had, so they get their sorry butts sent back to the Marvel Universe in a sling. Serves 'em right.

All Martian Manhunter has to do is telepathically reach into Sentry's mind and flick a switch to make him a basket-case. Sentry is already predisposed to being one anyway.

That Avengers line-up is being run by Ms. Marvel, due to her military background. But the Wasp was always a better leader when she was in charge. Black Widow has leadership responsibilities as well.

All they need is a match and the Manhunter is quivering and crying on the floor

no contest. Superman and Batman. I mean, the JLA! As powerful as the Sentry seems to be, I'm not even sure Matvel knows where to go with him yet. He's their only god-like hero (until Thor comes back to the team--Ares isn't that impressive) as far as powers go but getting him to actually DO something has been tricky for them. I'll go with the proven pros.

And how would they know to do that? Maybe Ms. Marvel carries one in her utility belt.

And before you turn my question back on me, I'm sure the Manhunter routinely mind sweeps his opponents to learn what he can about them. Sentry's mental instability would stand out like a beacon before MM's sweep.
