So, I saw some discussion on this in the Wanderground, and thought I's start a thread here. I've been reading this series over the past few months, and I'm in the middle of the fourth book now. Definitely one of the best fantasy genre books I've ever read, if not the best. A genre I really didn't think I needed to read anymore, since I thought I'd gotten out of it as much enjoyment as I could. I was wrong.

So, spoilers ahead:

I came across this site:

http://www.towerofthehand.com/essays/ch ... rents.html

Which puts forth a theory I hadn't thought of yet, but now feel is probably true: That Jon Snow is not the son of Ned Stark, but of his sister Lyanna, and Rhaegar Targaryen. The site gives a pretty convincing theory. Would that not make him the rightful heir to the Iron Throne over Dany?

Anyway, having so recently read almost all of the books, I stumbled across the postings in the wanderground regarding the ever slowing pace of the author. Kind of worries me.
