Nice short list waiting for me today(according to Diamond):

Captain America #30 - Of course, I still haven't got to read issue 29 because of the move of the store, but this is still a good book.

Madman Atomic Comics #4 - This is one of my "must buy" books, the story and art by Allred are nice.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic #20 - This and Legacy are the best of the Expanded Universe books.

Tales of the Sinestro Corps: Parallax - This will be part of catch-up on the Sinestro War.

World War Hulk #4 - I still keep hoping that one day I'll walk into the shop and the main cover will be by Romita Jr. instead of Finch, but the art inside is beautiful, and the Hulk is smashing.

And for those that want to know every book coming out: http://www.diamondcomics.com/shipping/s ... 091907.txt

A light week...

MADMAN ATOMIC COMICS #4 -- Good clean fun. A book that's good for my health.

CAPTAIN AMERICA #30 CWI -- I love this title. Near perfection. Bru keeps all of his books humming along. Dependable and high quality.

MARVEL COMICS PRESENTS #1 -- I'll give it a look.

WORLD WAR HULK #4 (OF 5) WWH -- Fun! Ihope the Hulk punches the Sentry out of the Marvel Universe. No idea how this mini will end.

Cap 30: another tense issue as Tony figures a few things out (Bru should definetly write an arc or two or three of Iron man: Director of Shield), Sharon gets a surprise, and the Winter soldier kicks some ass...various players are coming together and things dont let up for a second...9/10

World War Hulk 4: JRJR kicks up the art to 11...you can feel the blows, the pain, the shock..amazing stuff..a cool action packed crossover...well done...9/10

Hellblazer 236: more details are revealed but the plot moves along a little too slowly for my tastes..im used to more action in a Diggle written book...7/10

JLA/Hitman 1: Ennis brings back the classic feel of Hitman..the jokes, the fun, the action..its great to see the cast back together again...McCrea does a great job on th art chores as well..fun stuff...8/10

Checkmate 18: I was eager for some more Squad action after the excellent first issue of the mini series..but this issue does not deliver..too much talk..too many mysteries i dont care about...ok art by Bennet but i still cant distinguish between all the players and frankly i dont care....4/10

Terror Inc 2: man what an amazing issue..Terror crawls back to life in a disgusting way...he barely pulls himself together as the FBI and a group of assasins are tracking him while he loses limbs and his mind...a great MAX mini...9/10

Is MCP #1 any good or any bad?

Captain America 30
Excellent story as usual, but still feels too stretched out to me, so I'll dock it one point. 9/10

Spoiler: show
Sharon should be the new Cap. I don't think Joey has the guts to allow that.

Booster Gold 2
Enjoying the series so far. Jurgens should be writing, pencilling and inking this, though. 8/10

MCP 1 was ok..loved the Gugenheim story but the rest of the stories were just ok...nothing special.

Linda - I agree that the Cap story seems a little drawn out but i feel like Brubaker is conveying a sense that our heroes are a little lost without Cap and that the villains are more organized than ever..if Cap was still around the Skull and his plans would be dust...its subtle but thats how i see it.

And yes, Gerber's Doctor Fate in Countown to Mystery is a great read. I liked the Eclipso story (guest-starring
Spoiler: show
the Spectre, Plastic Man & Darkseid.
) a lot too.

The books I caught up with this week:

Green Lantern 22 & 23 - I'm liking the Sinestro War storyline, and the fact that the only other book you have to read(just barely) is GLC.

GLC #15 - I like how they're incorporating the main points of the storyline in both books, that way if you're not reading one book you're not really missing too much.

Captain America 29 & 30 - So Tony finally figures it out, and they show the letter from Steve, nice.

Tales of the Sinestro Corps: Parallax - I decided to pick up all the Sinestro War stuff this week, not bad, and I may pick up the other one-shots.
