I think you should write a book about John Byrne and Joss Whedon. I read your comments about them over and over again.

Astonishing X-Men works as a collage of vignettes. Many were fine;the one with Logan and the beer can was classic(read it while playing the Popeye theme)But the overarching Breakworld story was no classic.
The first year of New X-Men is one of the best X-tales ever told. The book got rather hit or miss after that, but there was still lots of cool stuff to keep it going.

I like Buffy and Angel. That's the only two reason I don't write him off completely.
Ok, one and a half. He never had much to do with Angel.

I like those two shows and I liked Firefly and Dr. Horrible, but Whedon himself seems like a smug douchebag and his hardcore fans make me want to punch them. Hard.

I'd like to punch anyone who liked Firefly until they explain to me what was supposed to be good about it.
Except Uncle Twitchy. Because he's lovely.

Crush Girl liked Firefly a lot. That was why we broke up.

I liked it because I want to have a threeway with Jewel Stait and Morena Baccarin.

For some reason, Summer Glau does little for me. I think it's her pinched up little not-quite-Renée-Zellweger mouth.

Oh, she's exactly my type. I would pollute every single orifice of that woman with every single bodily fluid I could muster given the opportunity. "Okay, Morena -- we just filled your left ear with bile, now it's time for sweat in your right nostril..."
