Ask those old questions here?

Whatever happened to the superman clone created in Action Comics 500 - did we ever see him again?

I'd like to know what happened to my 31 inch waist! It seems I've misplaced it somewhere.

Also, if anyone has seen my youthful idealism, I'd like that back as well

Oh yeah, and the super-heores of my youth...where the hell have THEY disappeared to?

The Superman-clone in Action 500 was never seen again, but the Crisis happened just 3 or 4 years later, and so he was presumably wiped away by a wave of antimatter. :)

Could be - I've been collecting the superman comics around that era and there were some really interesting storylines going on.

you do realize Arthur Fonzarelli was a mutant?? He had psionic powers which he mainly focused thru his fingers and hands. With a snap of his fingers he could control women...the same with machines like jukeboxes...in one episode he was camping and he quieted the animals of the forest with another fingersnap.
The clincher is that he held his own against a superpowered alien from the planet Ork.

...Mockingbird? Is she still dead? How did she die in the first place?

"The Superman-clone in Action 500 was never seen again . . ."

Not so, Kevin! The clone was indeed seen again, in an Action Comics issue published two years after #500 (can't remember the exact number, but I believe it was either #524 or #526).

It's a great story. (Don't keep reading if you don't want to know what it is). In a flashback, we see that Superman took the clone to the Fortress of Solitude after the events of Action #500. There, in a series of events I don't quite remember, the clone caused an explosion that led Superman to believe left him dead.

But the clone wasn't dead; he believed he was the real Superman and didn't understand where his powers had gone (recall Action #500). He had a Superman robot fly him back to Metropolis where he began to live as Clark Kent (the real Superman was off on some kind on interplanetary mission). When the clone realized who he truly was, he resolved to kill the real Superman and live out his life as Clark Kent. He constructed a battle suit that gave him Superman's abilities and the two of them duked it out. The clone ultimately got the worst of it, and ended up in an accident that left him disfigured. Superman then performed super-plastic surgery on the clone that gave him the appearance of a recently deceased news anchor, hypnotized him and gave him new memories and turned him loose in a brand-new identity.

As I say, great story.

Really? Hmm. Somehow I must have just missed that one. Lex Luthor's input really screwed him up if he was willing to become a murderer.

Dwayne was placed in the witness protection program after his testimony in the Martha Stewart trial.

What happened to Snapper from the JLA? (Can't remember his full name.)

Also - who came first Snapper or Rick Jones?

"Snapper" Carr last appeared regularly in the HOURMAN series from about four years ago. He also predates Rick Jones by a year or two.

So Snapper's having a hard time getting work.

We've seen it a hundred times. The comic book business just chews them up and tosses them aside. Sad really.

I don't remember this story at all.
