A manufacturer in China has begun marketing gasoline powered inline skates. They have 25 cc displacement engines and can reportedly do up to 20 miles per hour. For all practical purposes they have no brakes.

The scary thing is, I'm not making this up. These are real! British officials seized a shipment of them a few days ago. There are fears that if they get into the country young thrill-seekers will start zooming around the streets in them.

They're probably painted with lead paint, and will be recalled at some point.
