Wow.

Search for "Jaws the Revenge" and watch that early one. It's hysterical. Anyone else find any gems? I'm specifically looking for movies that the two disagreed on vehemently.

And before you ask, it really is depressing watching Ebert age from the old clips to the new.

Well not every Siskel & Ebert. They have the last 20 years (roughly) available. It seems the earlier stuff was tossed out. Still plenty of reviews to go through. I checked out a bunch on Thursday. Pretty easy to find stuff and the vids don't take long to load. Good viewing.

Now here's a bit of bickering from the twosome.

What are their best scrapes? I'm disappointed my favorite Siskel & Ebert fight of all time, a battle in blood over a long-forgotten 1991 movie called The Hours and the Times, isn't (yet) available on the site. Still, to get yourself started, check out their dust-ups over Blue Velvet and Full Metal Jacket.

Better to age drastically than to check out early like Siskel did.

Siskel's fury toward the Tony Danza movie She's Out Of Control is legendary with my friends.

I remember when they did the "wrap-up" at the end and Gene began ranting AGAIN when he had to mention the movie as part of the wrap-up.

I watched all of the above - good stuff.

Watch "North". Very funny review. Almost as funny as Ebert's printed review.

Some good reviews of bad movies. Look up Erik the Viking, Dice Rules, and Freddy Got Fingered.

Still trying to find some really nasty arguments.

I think Apocalypse Now is one they disagreed on, though can't remember how violently. I have no idea if it's on the web, though, as I can't download audio/video at my office.

Full Metal Jacket is one that Ebert didn't like but Siskel really did.

I'd rather watch old Gene Siskels than watch new Richard Roepers!

Ebert has always been the better writer, but Siskel, I felt, always had more presence and gravitas in front of the camera.

Which is more than one can say about Siskel.

Cut the stroke survivor a break.

Didn't know he had a stroke. Glad to see he pulled through.

A stroke was the least of Roger Ebert's problems. He had to have his lower jaw reconstructed after the cancer of his salivary gland spread - and he nearly went home to bleed to death. Fortunately the artery that ruptured did it while he was being discharged from the hospital.

Is it just me, or is there nothing older than the late 80's? Sneak Previews/At the Movies started in the mid 70's. I want that stuff.

Uh .. I mentioned that earlier in this thread. Second post. The earliest stuff was thrown out. Only the last 20 years is available.
