I can answer this question for a huge chunk of people here-- an unknown. I can't think of a popular actor that looks like Superman to me (at least that I can think of offhand).

He was my first pick for Hal Jordan, but I also think that Henry Cavill would make a fine, no, very fine Superman.

Even though he's the Punisher, my first thought was of Thomas Jane from the list of modern actors out there.

Both Tom Welling and Henry Cavill are too "pretty boy" for my tastes-- they just don't seem very masculine. Or at least, they're not as masculine as Superman should be.

Out of left field, but I remember watching Damages and thinking Noah Bean really resembled Christopher Reeve. He'd need to bulk up though.

His appearances on CHUCK this season as Daniel Shaw showed me that he really is a skilled actor, and I'd like to see him get another shot at the role.

Routh was great and I'd like to see him again. He played a better Clark than Reeves and an excellent Supes. Just dump the child baggage, bring in Brainiac with a Zod chaser and I'm there. the football player above looks too much like a meathead for my tastes.
