Why do they do this to me?

Probably the only Superman action figure I'd seriously consider buying, and they make a dog's breakfast of it!

What's going on with the legs? The abs? The chin? It's all just so wrong.

I know nobody else is probably in the market for this, but I was really hoping they'd do a good job with this one. I should've given up hope after the Flash vs. Gorilla Grodd statue debacle (the Flash looked like he'd been designed by Rob Liefeld trying to imitate Jan Van Eyck) but, like an idiot, I thought they'd do this (admittedly obscure) version of Superman some justice. They managed to make Lion-headed Superman look faithful to the comics, so why not this version?

Simon, Have you seen the DC Universe Superman Blue and Red figures? They have been out for a few years and are easy to come by. They look much better and cost less than the DC direct stuff.

Those stumpy arms make him look like Chris Benoit.

No problem. That is far an away the best line of superhero figures ever.

They're really consistently good, IMO. I'm going to get that scowling Red Superman; he's terrific!
