Black Adder for me.
I like everything he's done, but Black Adder is hilarious.

Kind of amazed that Mr. Bean isn't running away with it. Admittedly I only know "Blackadder" by reputation.
Coincidentally, I just recently read about an actual 18th-century army officer named Blackadder. He served under the Duke of Marlborough. The real-life inspiration for the name perhaps? I found myself wondering whether Captain Blackadder's batman was named Baldrick.

I think they found most of the names of the characters in the 4th series of Black Adder lined up with real people who served in World War I. But I don't think it was anything other than coincidence.
I'm not sure that Blackadder appeals to the same audience as Mr. Bean. I enjoyed both, but I suspect the crossover rate is rather small. I should check out the Johnny English movies. I don't think I ever gave them much of a chance.

I've seen both Mr. Bean and Blackadder, and I think Blackadder is funnier (although the first series of Blackadder is my least favorite of the show).

Yeah, the first season of Black Adder is the weakest. It's missing a lot of the sarcasm, I think, because Blackadder isn't too bright. Instead of a witty schemer, he's more awkward and bumbling. Plus, even though Bladders often is thwarted and gets the short end of the stick in most every episode, Edmund in season one is even less successful. But I do enjoy seeing Brian Blessed.
Some have recommend that the best way to watch Blackadder is to watch the first season sometime after you have already watched Season 2 and 3.
