Pricing not as ridiculous as I would have thought. $17 can get you a copy of the book. Some of the indie launches are way up there.

It looks really good, but I tend to only buy stuff from people who post here because of the international postage costs and so on.

Yeah, crowd funding doesn't really work for non-U.S. residents.

Rippasend isn't so much crowd funding as it is crowd SELLING. The books have most likely already been printed and are sitting in Eric July's warehouse waiting to be sold. The other things, like t-shirts, posters and merch, not so much.

I'm not buying anything from Eric July.

I bought ISOM #1, ISOM #2 (EVS cover), Yaira #1 and Goodyng. I've read the first three and did NOT enjoy them. I've put off reading Goodyng for this reason. I will be getting TMGP because I'm a fan of Dillard and Dillard's art (assuming it makes goal). This will be the last time I buy anything from Eric July's machine.

Thanks for clarifying. He's more polarizing than most but I didn't know how far we were allowed to go in describing his beliefs here without breaking board rules on politics.

You can just look at the original poster and then say "hard pass".

Eric July is not a creator on the book. His company is just the publisher. Still fine to boycott over his politics, but it's not hos work.

But stopped there because I've found his promotional and business talent to exceed his creative talent.

I wish him well, though. He's shown a willingness to stand up to fanboy mobs and courage in finding new ways for creators to publish their creator-owned work.

Some of the boycotting of him is Trotsky-ite intra-group backlash for defying Ethan Van Sciver
