I just read this one-shot from a few months ago. Beautiful artwork with okay writing (and typos galore). I don't think it was fact-checked, either. But overall, a worthwhile read.

He was the first Superman I ever saw. While the Batman show had more of an impact on me, I watched The Adventures Of Superman everyday.

Christopher Reeve is the *real* Superman, though.

He was indeed.

In another, better reality, George would have celebrated his 100th birthday last Sunday.

I guess I never thought about it before but Curt Swan's Superman and Clark Kent really was the Reeves version, going by the faces.

Recently went thru the first two seasons of this show,and it's still a lot of fun.
George Reeves is indeed Superman.

I have the first season on dvd and enjoyed it.

I understand that the first season's episodes were more adult (not in the naughty sense, of course) and that in that subsequent seasons are strictly "kiddie fare" with a large focus on Jimmy Olsen. That doesn't make me eager to see the later episodes, but maybe I'll give them a shot, someday.

The first season is also the only one with Phyllis Coates as Lois Lane, who I think was the best Lois aside from Teri Hatcher ever. I've seen the later seasons in syndication over the years, and don't really have a desire to complete the collection. I think the tone and style of the series is well represented by the first season, and it has better stories.

Same here. I have the first season and don't feel I need more.

My favorite George Reeves episode.....Superman vs The Mole Men....it still haunts my dreams.

The black and white episodes are the best ones.
