Next week I'll be travelling from my igloo here in Canada through eastern New York state and down to New Britain, New Haven and Bridgeport, Connecticut. Does anyone have any recommendations for good comic shops along the route? I don't mind driving a little out of the way, we are pretty leisurely on our trips. Stores with some discounted back issues would be great, I always love digging through the dollar boxes (or whatever stores price their discount back issues at these days!) if that's still a thing. I also appreciate a well rounded inventory, not looking for just Marvel/DC books. Small press and art comics are more the kind of thing I am looking for.
Are there any stores like that I will be close to? Thanks for any help!

If you're by Albany, there's a store there I try to get to whenever I visit my grandma called EARTHWORLD COMICS. It's not a big store, but there are a lot of gems in their collection and I usually walk out with a great deal on something OOP.

I once got the $125 X-Statix Omnibus marked down to $45 there, which is a pretty sweet deal. I managed to get there last year and I got Boy Commandos Vol. 1 (OOP) and First Kingdom Vol. 1 (OOP)... and left behind the IDW HC Amazing Spider-Man Newspaper Strips Vol. 1 (OOP)... which I somewhat regret, but then I got the Artist Edition and that more than made up for it.

It was very good, I filled in a couple of items I've been searching for and my wife even found a few $1 bin comics she thought looked good. They have a nice selection of all genres and it's well organized. My only gripe was that we could only stay there about an hour because we had far too many stops on our itinerary, but that's not their fault!
