I bought the first four seasons on DVD at Wal-Mart a few years ago. Every episode has commentary and as funny as Futurama is (and it IS) the commentary which includes the voice actors is even funnier. I want to work at a place where everyone is having that much fun.

Shelby got me into Futurama and it's great. I loved the first Comedy Central season. Haven't seen the new episodes yet.

Futurama is the best show evar.
I do like the older seasons a bit more, but the 5th season WAS pretty awesome. There was only one episode I didn't like.
They made up for it with the evolution episode and the forward time machine episode, which are 2 of my favorites overall.

The episode where Farnsworth abandons earth to the Creationists, only to find that he has accidentally started life on a dead planet and become that reality's "God" is mind-blowingly awesome.

I wrote this back in 2007 about Futurama:

I noticed you have Futurama, Eric. What a good show. This is my evolution on that show:

1. Anxiously anticipated its premier for years, based on the Simpsons being a favorite. Read every snippet I could find about it in the nineties.

2. Watched most of the first season first run. Liked it, but was oddly, vaguely disappointed.

3. Drifted away. Also drifted away from the Simpsons.

4. Years later, began watching reruns on Cartoon Network. They grew on me.

5. Now I think it was as good as I could have ever expected it to be. It should have surpassed all my expectations. I don't know what I was thinking while drifting away. It wasnt just decent, I like it better than the Simpsons at this point.

I became a hardcore fan of the show for a while and bought the Season 5 DVD with a giftcard at Christmas... but never got around the watching it.

It's weird, I loved that show so much but I just can't be assed to actually watch Season 5.

I was the same way about season 5 for a while too, Hanzo.
Futurama is the only show I've ever loved, and the original 4 seasons are almost perfect.
I was really afraid that they were going to fuck it up, but they didn't.
You should take the time to watch the new season, but skip the stupid "Attack of the Killer App" episode. Everything else is golden.

I actually think the show was starting to get weak in Season 4... but I'll probably watch the show sooner or later.

It ain't going nowhere.

(The real question is, will I watch it before Season 6 hits DVD?)

One of my favorite lines and the follow up of the Professor walking around in a glass dome yelling into nothing. Classic.

The cat episode was probably my least favorite of the season, still overall pretty bad.

I have only seen a single episode from Season 6. It was pretty good.

It's located right next to the Accusation Chamber.

Just finished season 7--the show's still good, but the freshness is gone.Had a few episodes of deja vu,a sure sign that a TV show has passed it's peak. After 7 seasons,it's to be expected for most shows.
