The Ultimates drew me back to the comic book store after a long long hiatus.

I was initially enjoying the Ultimates, then it just started to piss me off.
And of course, that was because of what Millar was doing with Hank Pym and Janet. The hell with that shit.

Ultimate Spider-Man was the best of the bunch IMO.

You know, it DOES kind of seem like a distant memory now. It's been a lot of years.

I don't remember really getting into any of them except Ultimate Spider-Man and the Ultimates.

The Ultimates was the one I enjoyed more, so I voted for that -- though if the goal of the Ultimate line was to create a continuity light version of the Marvel Universe that reverts the characters back to a modernized platonic ideal, then clearly Ultimate Spidey did the job better.

Ultimates vol. 1 was really good I thought. They made a couple more of them though and they were abysmal. Ultimate Spider-Man was pretty consistently good from start to end, even if you concede that Bendis padded the shit out of every story arc (like Peter taking 3 pages to fall out of bed once). They were still good story arcs.

Yeah, the Spider-Man series was pretty good, and there certainly were parts of the Ultimates that I enjoyed.
I also was mostly onboard for the Squadron Supreme or whatever it was called and wherever it actually showed
up in the Ultimate Comic line. They had their own title(s), right? I think so. Maybe that was separate?

I'm surprised that The Ultimates is winning. Spectacular art,but the stories are Mark Millar at his fanboy trolling worst. Cannibalistic Hulk, incestuous Wanda and Pietro...book should've been titled The Unlikables.

Yep. Ugh.

I never did get into the Ultimate books, but Ultimates 1 and 2 at least had great art.

I hate these comics and everything they represent.

I was just kidding. I mean I did read some and I did hate them. But it was only a few. I don't necessarily hate all that they represent.

I haven't read a single issue but I hate them on principle.
