I've become pretty obsessed with Terry Moore's work over the last few months. I had read Stranger in Paradise a bit in the '90s, but it is Rachel Rising, Echo and Motor Girl that has made me such a fan. All three of those books are on my list of favorite graphic novels of all time.
Here's a very early scene from Rachel Rising: Rachel crawls out of a shallow grave in the woods, not knowing where she is or how she got there, while an unknown figure watches on. Such great pacing, and such great artwork.

Motor Girl is about a Marine Corp vet suffering from PTSD, her gorilla friend, corrupt military contractors, and first contact with aliens. It's a comedy.

Echo is his super-hero series. This would be the book that got me into him - I saw the hardcover collection on the used shelf during a two-for-one sale and I needed an extra book to round out my purchase. Since I remembered liking Strangers in Paradise in my 20s, I gave it a shot. So glad I did.

I enjoyed this book and I am a fan of his art too.

On his weekly YouTube thingee, his wife has said that it is her favorite of his books.
