The 'comic crowd', huh? I thought super hero movies were the most mainstream thing imaginable nowadays...I hope DC doesn't mess this up. They seem to have trouble hitting the right notes with anything other than Batman and Wonder Woman, which is a shame considering how many great characters they have.

Or, have Patrick "Eel" O'Brian take on a more "fluid" transgender role once "he" gains his powers: Patricia.

I'm always mystified by the idea of them getting the license to do an established character and then changing the basic premise. But it's their money, ultimately.
