This is sad news. Even sadder as I didn't realise Tom had suffered a brain aneurysm in September and spent the last 8 weeks in a coma.

I am a big fan of his work from his days at Eclipse working with Chuck Dixon through The Comet, Robin, Batman and Spider-Man. His work on Starman with Roger Stern really was a great antidote to the grim and gritty comics that were coming out at that period as well.
