Just wanted to say I'm very pumped for the new Who this spring. The Judoon, who may very well be the Sontarans with some type of different look should be excellent. Also, Derek Jacobi, Mr. I Claudius himself appearing as "The Professor", a 'good guy' who helps the doctor and Martha save the planet. Also, the Daleks in 1930's Manhattan with an art deco Dalek to boot.

The rumor is that Jacobi's character will regenerate, thus we will find out that he's the Master. Jacobi provided the voice for the Master in the animated Scream of the shalka a couple years back. (I'm not telling Hank anything he probably doesn't already know in this post..) further rumor is that the lead guy from Life on Mars will be the new incarnation of the Master. Now this is rumor but damn I hope it's true because it's got Davies thumbprint all over it. He's been pretty good about keeping secrets on the show lately so I don't know.

Also very pumped about getting the Invasion DVD next month with the linking animation. I suspect the animators next project might be ep 4 of Hartnells' The Tenth Planet". With them filling in the Troughton adventures that only need an ep or two, they could easily fill in The Ice Warriors and The Moonbase and we'd have 9 out of 21 complete Troughton adventures ready for DVD. Getting back half of the second doctors era would be HUGE!

ah well. Enough of my ramblin.....

Series 2 was full of knock 'em out-the-part home runs. When folks said 2 was better than 1, I was doubtful, but I was wrong!

When does the new season kick off? I've been eagerly waiting for it after watching the latest Christmas episode.

I'm not fussed who plays the Master as long as it is some bitter, posh RSC reject who thinks all this is beneath them. It worked brilliantly for the earlier incarnations!

The third season is due to start in March, so it seems to have moved up a bit. don't know WHEN in March though. As for the Master, they'll have to do a better job than Ainley but they'll have big shoes to fill in regards to Delgado........

ANYBODY would be better than Eric Roberts. No Doctor Who scene was ever more cringe-worthy than:

Nurse: Bruce, you're sick!
Master: Thank you.

Even the umbrella-hanging cliffhanger for part 1 of Dragonfire was better.

I vote for Mike Nebeker for the Master. With the beard.

The return of the Master would be nice, I've enjoyed series 1 & 2 with Eccleston & Tenant.

I totally forgot about Roberts (as one should). I give that '96 movie a lot of slack because it was a herculean move to get it made but of the concessions, nothing bothered me more than Roberts. He was very lame. the half human thing can be ignored or explained away as nonsense, the kiss, big deal, but roberts...shudder.

I'm still waiting for Davies to pull a special like "The Four Doctors" out of his hat. In an effort to bring everything full circle, have Davison return (he's the only one of the old doctors who hasn't physically changed dramatically) and together with Tennant, go back to the time wars and witness the regeneration from McGann to Eccleston. Just to satisfy my curiousity....I like to have the closure of seeing one Doctor regenerate into the next. but that's me, I'm anal-retentive.

Just saw the season 2 finale..Cyberman and Daleks..wow..what a great episode..!!

Really enjoyable season and now im eager to see Season 3..!

"4 Daleks vs 50 Million Cybermen, no problem. Versus one Doctor, Uh-Oh."

And the beach scene...I cried like a baby.
