the "616" universe is an old joke from the Alan Moore/Alan Davis Captain Britain comics (recently reprinted) - when he meets a whole bunch of captain britains from paralell universes - he obviosuly things our world is #1 - but Merlyn informs him that we are living in Universe #616

616 is also the other Number Of The Beast. Marvel's the other Anti-Christ.

Did people enjoy Marvel Zombies, or what?!

The first kinda-sorta Ultimate/616 crossover coming up: In Black Panther #28 616 people (well, four of them... you know what i mean!) visits the same Zombie universe that Ultimate FF traveled to.

I thought it was a hoot. A lot of fun, plenty of good humor, and did I mention fun? It was fun!

I got my fill, though, and don't need a dozen follow-ups and spin-offs. They got in there had a cool extended gag, an dought to get out before pounding it into the ground.

Yep I agree I fear the zombieverse is a cool idea about to be beaten into a bad one through overuse.

Ah, did the zombieverse Black Panther survive that first mini? I forget, but if so, is he going to end up meeting his 616 counterpart?

And I just reread Avengers Forever, BP survives in a Killraven-influenced future where Mars Attacks! (TM) It's hard to keep the king of Wakanda down!
