Marvel are already planning a sequel to the forthcoming Guardians Of The Galaxy, according to reports.
The film centres on a team of superheroes – including Star-Lord, Drax The Destroyer and Rocket Raccoon – who appear in a 2008 comic book series of the same name. Marvel is hoping it will kickstart another big screen franchise like The Avengers when it opens in cinemas on August 1, 2014.
Now, according to JoBlo, the studio are already plotting a follow-up film, which could potentially be released on May 6, 2016 – a date which has been reserved for an unannounced project by Marvel, and would come shortly after a Guardians Of The Galaxy cartoon series premieres on Disney XD in autumn 2015. I knew this would be huge. It's going to be the franchise that Marvelizes an entire generation, just watch.

I will be shocked if this movie is not a huge failure. It's so out of step with the more grounded Marvel Cinematic Universe we've been shown so far (i.e. not grounded at all in the literal, real world sense...but within its own context), . There have been aliens, and it's very comic booky but not the level of talking animals. It's a huge risk.

It appeared to have a totally different feel from the current Marvel Movieverse. I liked it because it had a certain retro-Lost-in-Space thing going for it.

I thought it looked really gaudy and unattractive.
Maybe the movie will be great but I haven't liked anything I've seen thus far.
