With the news that Wolverine's claws will now be able to heat up, it begs the question of just how hot they should get.

Hot enough to turn stone into slag, or just hot enough for a nice warm bath?

Hot enough to heat up food at a block party? Would you like to read a story like that, where Wolverine roasts weenies and toasts marshmallows without needing to hold them over the barbecue?

And should his claws also get really cold and be able to freeze things?

If he puts his hands in his pants,will he get...Hot Pockets?

Oh God, seriously? Hot claws?
What's he gonna do roast weenies with them?

Don't forget about marshmallows!

Only Marvel Comics would think "How can we make indestructible razor hands even cooler? It's almost there, but it just needs a little extra kick to put it over the top."

Each claw should pop out of his hand and turn into a mini-version of Wolverine, each with its own powers and stuff.

I know, what if his claws were actually bony material?

They did already? Oh, never mind.

"He who knows Fear, Burns at the Claws of Wolverine!™"

I just can't even.....

This should be hot-claw Wolverine's new catch-phrase.

They should also reintroduce his "...the old canucklehead" saying. They need to get back to what really makes the character matter, you know?

I would have preferred really stretch claws, or invisible ones. Maybe they should turn to stone?

One hand's claws get hot, the other set gets cold. It actually makes sense from a conservation of energy perspective--one set of claws draws heat from stuff, the other releases it.

Who wants to take bets on how long it will be until he figures out how to shoot heat beams from the claws?

"Over the top" is a really good phrase there....

Or maybe they've really always been that way? I've always wondered how it was that a guy without superhuman strength could cut through massive volumes of stone or steel with his claws. Sure they're made of an invulnerable super metal, but it would still take an awful lot of force to push them through objects like that. A good mundane machete can easily cut through wood, but absent a superhuman swing it can''t cut down a big tree with one whack.

Maybe Wolverinie's secret has always been that his claws BURN through stuff as well as slicing!
