Short week:

Y #53: i love the "slice of life" issues that deal with secondary characters and the world at large..great stuff as we see what happened to the ex-super model Yorick met back in the first few issues..plus we get a little ray of hope this issue for the world..very cool..excellent as usual...10/10

Exiles 90: Checking this out for the first time because I think Claremont will be a good fit on this title..fun stuff..does anyone know what Psylocke's last appearance was? How did she pop up here? Either way..fun stuff..light superhero fare..ill stick around and see where this goes...7/10

Green lantern 16: Excellent issue as the JLA kicks some butt (as opposed to their own series where they are chatting it up and taking a photography class)..Johns knows how to write fast paced supeheroics and brings in tons of guest stars and aliens without anything seeming rushed..sweet art by Reis as well..since OYl this title has been very enjoyable and a good ride...10/10

No books until tomorrow due to MLK Day, but according to Diamond I should be enjoying these books:

Conan #36 - Fun read.

Ghost in the Shell 1.5: Human Error Processor #4 - This book can't ship late, it's already been printed in one language and the translated version is on time. I love me some Shirow Masamune.

Green Lantern #16 - We'll see if it comes out or is delayed, this is getting old.

Red Sonja Annual #1 - Another fun read, nice to see an annual on the list.

She-Hulk #15 - Dan Slott goodness.

The Spirit #2 - The first issue by Cooke was pretty good, I'll stick around for a while.

Ultimate X-Men #78 - More Ultimate Cable.

Books were out today here, Robert.
52 - looks like the space crap is coming to an end, and I was pleased with one of the surprises after last weeks cheap death.
Birds of Prey - Losing interest. I liked it with Canary and Babs, without that it's just another team up book.
Y the Last Man - 11 issues to go.

Deliveries to my LCS were seriously messed up the last fortnight, so some of the books I picked up today were from previous weeks.

Fantastic Four: The End 4; The Incredible Hulk 102; She-Hulk 15; and Uncanny X-Men 482!

I'm waiting for Blade and The Spirit to be released next week.

Thinking of going back to pick up Exiles 90 too. Didn't know it was Claremont's first issue; they haven't advertised it that well. Hum.

Picked up 100 Bullets TPB Vol. 10, 'Decayed', last week. That Lono is such a psychopath! The look he gives on the final panel of the book has stayed with me for days!

Also picked up Fantastic Four #542 on a whim. First McDuffie issue. Nice art by McKone. I enjoyed the issue and for the first time somewhat bought into why Reed is siding with Tony at the expense of all else. Hopefully this will continue to play out in the way McDuffie has set it up. 8.5/10

Car trouble kept me from my regular shop on Wednesday. Hit the back up today:

52 - very pleased. No bad deaths. And I guessed right on the reveal.

GREEN LANTERN - flat out love this book. Now if only it was mnothly.

JLA: CLASSIFIED - picked it up to see how Slott does in the DCU. NOt bad, though Dr. Destiny has never been a favorite villian.

I'll pick up CATWOMAN and BIRDS OF PREY at my regular shop next week.

Loved Exiles 90. Great first issue by Claremont and great art by Pelletier. Psylocke last appearence was New Excalibur # 8 (Plot Claremont, script Yost) and we follow directly from that, wherehas what Psylocke is saying about the Shadow King. She believes she's still in 616 where she was fighting him.

Got other books too, but this one is the one that matter to me.

Birds of Prey 102- Jeff, I'm with you on that. It's just not the same without Dinah. And I had a real problem with the Lois Lane interview. Lois says this computer-hacker (Oracle) has ties with the JLA. That means ties with her husband, Superman. And she's potentially going to blow the story on Oracle? WTF? I'd think Lois is smart enough to leave something like that alone.

Omega Men 4- I've never read them before this mini, but I picked it up for the art. It's been an interesting story so far.

Fantastic Four 77- Yes, that's right. I bought my first Kirby FF issue. I'd read some reprints here and there, but this is my first actual issue. But this has the boys facing off against the Psycho-Man. Sue is in bed pregnant as the Silver Surfer stops by. Galactus is in it, too. Real soap-opery feel to it. Bt lots of enthusiasm and energy. Kirby's design work is amazing.

My LCS received large collections from two customers- they have tons of early issues of FF, Avengers, Iron Man, Spidey, Thor, Hulk and X-men. And a lot of them look brand new. I don't know where to even start.
