Which is your favourite? Always presuming you are old enough to know. Or know how to rent DVD's For me, The Rockford Files. Victoria and I have gotten frakking addicted to renting it. I'm only just barely able to remember it first run (I was five when it premiered), whereas I don't think she was even born by the time it had finished up it's run. It's amazing to see how little it has dated, though (except for the occasional leisure suit fire hazard ).

I'm going for other, under the pretense that CHiPS qualifies as an "action show".
Loved it, can't wait to see it again on DVD.

You know, I voted Starsky and Hutch because I think it is the best action series from the seventies, then I noticed The Rockford Files, which I would have said wasn't an action show, but which I would have voted for had I seen it....
Boring, yes, but true.

I went with "other", because my favorite action show in the 70s was Six Million Dollar Man. I was under 10, but to me it was the greatest thing ever. Doubt it holds up, and certainly not to the level I canonized it to.

The Rockford Files was the best of any of 'em, though as a kid growing up in the '70s there was nothing cooler than the Six Million Dollar Man -- particularly the season where he went up against Bigfoot and, later, the Fembots.
I still voted for Charlie's Angels. Why? The titties, man. The titties.

Six Million Dollar Man (though Wonder Woman was good too)

I cannot believe I didn't include the Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman (would it help if I said your vote for The Rockford Files includes the Lindsay Wagner episoded? ). OR Wonder Woman.
Some days, I just should not be allowed to use a computer...

Of course, to go with the Bionic Woman and Wonder Woman, there was also Police Woman (with Angie Dickenson)

The Six Million Dolar Man had the best 'con effect' of all time...how do we show people running quickly? Slow motion....

I voted for The Incredible Hulk because it's the only one I remember that well. I was but a child of 6 years when the show came out, and back in the sticks where I lived at the time, tv was hit and miss with the old rooftop antenna, so Friday nights with the Duke boys and the Hulk were my gold.
Watched 'em on a black and white tv, too.

Best action show? Kung Fu ... no contest.
I enjoyed watching the shows listed in the other choices, though.
