It'll still be out before All-Star Bats #whatever and WildCATS #2.

Millar is still probably trying to figure out how to wrap this up. Oh wait, it won't wrap up. Open ended, I betcha.

I know Wizard was supposed to hsve a big "where do we go from here" issue out before that. and i wonder if this pushes back Spider-man's Back in Black at all.

My LCS owner is going to love this news. He was livid over the delay of #6. He was told it was a "good" thing because he would get business in a typically slow month (January). Yeah, and pushing #7 into the end of February will help.
Not to mention getting #6 before Christmas would have been even better. Egads!

Pretty sure that will be exactly the case. There will be a "winner" in the big final battle, but all of the drama will continue on in the MU after CW is wrapped up. Things won't be 'reset' and the struggle between the sides won't be over.

So which will we see first: Civil War #7 or Ultimates #13?

Right. The "resolution" or "reset" will take place in another mega-maxi-series-crossover-bonanza some other year, down the road.

Someone might win the battle (cough, cough... Iron Man... cough, cough), but the war will go on and on and on...

Hrm - it comes out the week before my book. I wonder if that will help or hurt?

Only one other misfortune could befall Civil War. They decide that they need another issue to wrap it all up so everyone has to wait two or three months for that to be done. I think if they did that (not likely) everyone would say they were with DC at that point.

"Civil War is getting a shocking epilogue issue, CIVIL WAR: THE CONFESSION, brought to you by the Eisner-winning team of Brian Michael Bendis & Alex Maleev- the team that brought you the Civil War prequel New Avengers: The Illuminati."

At least THE CONFESSION is by another creative team, so it shouldn't be delayed. We hope.

CIVIL WAR: THE RETURN
This is the intriguing one for me. It's either Thor or possibly the original Captain Marvel

No. Of course not! Marvel always ships things in a timely fashion. What time that is another story.
I suppose you could use 'Marvel time' to describe their scheduling of the whole Civil War series. And the Ultimates. And Astonishing X-Men. And ..

It does seem to be oddly related to Millar in many cases. While I'm sure it's happened, I don't think Bendis gets dogged with late book complaints. If what he says on podcasts is true, he's routinely six months ahead on his scripts. Maleev seems to be punctual, too. He and Bendis did, what, 55 issues of Daredevil together? They know how to work together.
I have NO idea what Millar's problem is. There is no good reason for a writer to be late.
