Unpopular opinion I think, but I liked the Antonio Banderas movies.

There are a couple of very nice Zorro movies not on this list, the 1974 made-for-TV Frank Langella
Zorro movie, for example, is quite good. Also, the 1975 Alain Delon version is quite fun, but suffers
from some bad dubbing in places plus the fact that several minutes of important introduction have
been cut from most commercial versions. I did managed to track down a Greek version on disc, but
so far, I haven't been able to watch it. And there are a few more Zorro Chapter Serials (but the only
seriously good one is Zorro's Fighting Legion) and a few other quirky foreign jobs, like Zorro and the
Three Musketeers. Plus, I'd love to obtain copies of the Zorro and Son TV show from 1983.

Oh, and "New World" Zorro, the 1990 Family Channel offering featuring Duncan Regehr was quite good,
and it did run four seasons.

I have a love for all of them, but the 1940 Tyrone Power version is the best, either in black or white
or the color version.

I agree with everything Beachy says, although I voted for the 1950s TV show
because it gives me nearly the same feeling as TV's "Adventures of Superman".
I am a child of those times.

Just a note: The Langella TV movie was a near scene-for-scene and word-for-word
remake of the Tyrone Power "The Mark of Zorro", the best Zorro movie ever.

Which is why he's kicking butt in this poll.

My personal favorite zorro is the one I met face-to-face in the city park early one morning last year. I love unexpected encounters with wildlife.

Oh, you're talking about the guy in the mask who cuts Zs everywhere? Well, in that case the one I remember best is the Alain Delon version. But that was a long, long time ago.

Like Beachy, I recall there being a short-lived "Zorro and Son" TV show. Never really saw it, but I remember it being advertised with a commercial where Zorro lectures his son on the importance of learning how to "Get in, make your Z, and get out." I still remember what a big laugh my dad had over that one.

They weren't too, bad, but it's kind of Zorro, the Next Generation. I can watch them and enjoy them
very much, but I could never vote for them BEFORE Zorro.

I am still very much annoyed at the copyright/ownership of Zorro and various trademarks, and I really
don't like the people who "appear to" and claim that they own everything except parts of the first
story/book. They have promised a few times in the past to collect and publish all of the Zorro stories
written for the Pulp magazines, but they just continued to sit on their asses and do nothing.

I want to read them, and I cant afford to buy them pulp by pulp. :-|

1990's Zorro live-action series for me. This is my Zorro, the series that introduced me to the character and made me love him. I used to get pumped when they'd play his theme music during the fencing.

And I had a thing for SeƱorita Escalante.
