The way he's holding him, it seems Powerman is Superman's life-partner.

As I read the description, crippled kid magically becoming hero, I thought of Captain Marvel Junior. Fixed. As I read the description, crippled kid magically becoming hero, and then read the name Superior, I wondered if this hero's going to go a little power-mad, like how Byrne did in his firs...

Also, FC would have a great project for Jim Lee instead of that bullshit For Tomorrow crap. It's what Lee's good at drawing and would have made this event even bigger.

I'm a huge fan of Quitely and think his art style totally compliments Morrison's style of writing in the same way Dave Gibbons did with Alan Moore -- such a dead-on match that it could have been done by a single writer/artist. I recently reread Final Crisis and while I enjoyed it much more than pre...

I like the mental patient angle but think that idea would work better as a miniseries with a conclusion as opposed to a ongoing series.

I felt there was potential there... with the stitched, homemade look. I would have tweaked it. In a reinterpretation I came up with for a relaunch proposal, the "x" symbol was actually intended to be a Roman numeral ten... and the character only struck on the tenth of every month... kinda...

If you need a cover image, look on Mile High Comics. A really good resource that allows hotlinks.

Titan the character eventually went insane and had to be put down like a mad dog, but the costume and look was a great design. It was largely red, white and blue and the Zeus-like icon on his chest also had a Shazam/Flash feeling to it that I found appealing. This character and X, who was "Dar...

Linda, does one really need to understand the mechanics of jazz (or any music) to enjoy them? I know there's all sorts of stuff going on in jazz music that the knowledgeable and trained ear can recognize, pick out and name, but if it sounds 'good' to me, then that's all I need. Same goes for classi...

I don't think you should -- you're an intelligent person who's experienced in reading comics.

Sometimes a creator can be smart but not always effective at telling stories.

Also, let's take a look at the lawsuit ... National filed suit against Fawcett in September 1941. The lawsuit between National and Fawcett proceeded for seven years before trial finally began in 1948. National's argument was that Captain Marvel's main powers and characteristics (super-strength, s...

I never saw Captain marvel as a Superman knock off... You know, I don't think anyone outside of comic fans would say this. Seriously -- how can he not be? CC Beck and Bill parker created Cap in 1939 and he debuted in 1940 -- pretty damn coincidental that a character who is a giant, black-...

Seriously though, I see Hyperion everytime I glance at that picture. It's actually a really weak costume. I know they're trying to be all Golden Age but it looks completely non-distinct. Good examples of a Superman variation are Quesada's Hyperion... http://image2.milehighcomics.co...

Ugh... I'd normally definitely be on board for this but since this is likely at least six issues and will probably be $4 a pop, I might actually have to trade wait on this one. $24 is just too much.

Thought about doing something liek that on a character but it looks like I've come to the party too late.

Thanks!

I wish it would have been a little slicker and the inks on the top characters would have had more variation... but I'm pretty happy with the way it came out overall.
